The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act – DSG, Austrian Telecommunications Act – TKG 2021). This privacy policy informs you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by World4You Internet Services GmbH, Hafenstraße 47–51, 4020 Linz, Austria. When you visit the website, the web server automatically stores information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page visited, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is technically necessary for the secure and stable operation of the website (legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is automatically deleted by the hosting provider after a short period.

3. Contact form, enquiries by e-mail and telephone

If you contact us via the contact form, by e-mail or by telephone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, telephone number, travel dates, number of persons, message) in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to process a booking. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or performance of a contract).

The contact form is provided by the form function of Elementor Pro. Your entries are sent by e-mail to us and to our web service provider (edv-arlberg, Wolfgang Schöller), who acts as our processor, and may be stored in the database of this website. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 6 months at the latest. Booking data is retained in accordance with statutory retention obligations (in particular § 132 Austrian Federal Fiscal Code: 7 years).

Spam protection

To protect against spam, the form contains a field that is invisible to humans; no data is transmitted to third parties.

4. Page caching

To make the website load quickly, we store pre-built copies of our pages on our own web server (WP Super Cache plugin). No personal data is collected and no data is transferred to third parties. Images are delivered directly from our server, not via an external network.

5. Visitor statistics with Matomo

We use the open-source software Matomo to analyse the use of our website. Matomo runs on a dedicated server (operator: edv-arlberg, Wolfgang Schöller; server location: Austria); the data collected is not passed on to third parties.

Matomo is configured so that no cookies are set and your IP address is shortened before storage, so that no conclusions can be drawn about your person. The following is recorded: pages visited, date and time of access, length of stay, the previously visited page (referrer), browser, operating system, screen resolution and language setting.

The analysis helps us improve our offer. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in data-minimising reach measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is deleted after 6 months.

You can object to the recording at any time. Matomo also respects your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting.

6. Availability calendar

We use the “WP Simple Booking Calendar” plugin to display the availability of our apartments. The calendar is loaded directly from our server; no personal data is transmitted to third parties.

7. Cookies

Our website only uses technically necessary cookies that are required for the operation of the website (§ 165(3) TKG 2021). The visitor statistics (Matomo) do not set any cookies. You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies or to reject cookies.

8. Your rights

You generally have the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. Please contact office@arlenberg.com.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
